October 31 - Happy Halloween

What a pretty garden fairy!  Hope helped Grace with her hair and makeup and then I took Grace and some of her friends trick-or-treating.  Hope handed out candy for us and Faith helped toilet paper her teacher's house!!  A well-rounded evening of tricks AND treats!

October 27 - Pumpkin Time

We painted our pumpkins this year instead of carving them.  Turns out, if you drop your painted pumpkin bad things happen...huh, Faith?

July 23 - Let's Go Swimming!

This is our new favorite swimming hole.  Way out of town, secluded, and full of cousins!!  Alice is a fearless swimmer!

July 22 - Anne of Green Gables

If you ran into Grace at all this summer, you probably saw an Anne of Green Gables book in her hand.  She read all eight of them!!  I have loved this series since I was a fourth grader and it made my heart happy to have one of the girls love it also.  One night Hope came in and said "Mom! Something is wrong with Grace!  She is sitting out on the back porch crying!"  I knew just what heartbreak had happened!

July 13 - The House of Mystery

July 6 - Bly turns 140!

And to celebrate there was a parade and a party!  The cousins got a great view from one of the main street benches.

June 29 - Catchin' Crawdads

There are always crawdads at Pike's Crossings and Grace is brave enough to show the camera how to hold one.  Thankfully, Faith caught the little guy for her.

June 28 - Night Swimming

As often as possible, the girls and Rachel Parrish insist on going night swimming!  They were so surprised the first time we decided this was a good idea.  

June 27 - Happy Birthday

Malted Chocolate Cake with Malted Milk Frosting and Whoppers for decoration??  YES!!!

June 17 - Camping Bubbles??

Some projects are too messy for home but perfect for outside.  I found this bubble recipe online.  Little did I know that Grace had been experimenting with bubbles at school and was a bubble expert.

Hope is pretty sneaky.  I followed this bird all over camp trying to get a picture, but no luck!!

I had so much fun at the dance!  My favorite part was dancing "Living On a Prayer!" My dress looked a lot like everyone else's - but I wore it the best!

April 12 - Honor Choir

Every year Mr. Hamlin auditions 350 5th and 6th grade students for Honor Choir and about 50 students make it.  Faith and Hope were both selected and this year Grace was selected.  Here she is, all ready for the big performance.

April 10 - Bubba the Swamp Monster

Alice (aka Bubba) is a very scary monster.

April 6 - I need side bangs!!

Sometimes I feel like all we do is talk about hair and nails around here.  Hope curled all of Grace's hair and with a pretty flick of the side bangs, we are ready for the day!

April 3 - Cuddling Logan

It is a well-known fact that the Lee's love babies.  Logan looks very content to snuggle his cousin.

April 1 - Mom's Models

I frequently ask the girls to model some new piece of knitting that I've finished.  Grace looks pleased to be part of the show today, but I think it's because this funky scarf is going to be hers!

March 26 - Spring Break

We had a "staycation" for Spring Break this year.  I took a couple of days off and we crafted, baked and watched old movies.  Hope made matching costumes for her, Penny and Lucy.  Doesn't Penny look impressed?

March 17 - Art Day

Faith has been admiring the crayon art she has looked at on the internet and decided to give it a try today.  Normally she is not very patient, but she did a great job of getting the wax to melt.  In the bottom corner is the word "Dream."  The piece turned out great!

March 16 - Leprechaun Floats

Pre-St. Patrick's Day Feast with the Parrish's!  The girls floats are Lime sherbet with Sprite.  So good!

March 2 - Raccoon Tracks

Oregon Fish Hatchery's are one of our favorite places to visit.  The Willamette Fish Hatchery is awesome.  There is a little museum, bird runs, statues and carvings and several ponds.  This pond shows that there are wildlife visitors as well.  Looks like a raccoon was washing his treasure here!

March 1 - All Ducked up on Quack!

We took the girls to a Women's Basketball game in Eugene.  The Ducks lost, but the atmosphere was great.  The band, the cheerleaders, the old alumni that sat by us and heckled the refs - it all added up to a very fun night.  I watched Faith fall in love with college.  Oh, bittersweet!

February 23 - That's  a dog, not a rug!!

Today was Keegan's 2nd birthday.  It was a great party.  And yes, at the bottom of this dog pile there really is a dog.  Saige is very loving.  And Riley, Quinlynn, and Clara are letting her know how much she is loved in return.

February 18 - Penny Prints

It seems like we are constantly letting the dogs in and out of the house.  Penny was the first one out and look how cute her tracks are!  Yes, those are Penny prints and not the cat...the cat's prints are bigger!

February 17 - So Crafty!

Every year the girls get something to read for Christmas.  Hope doesn't really like to read, so her book was all about things to make out of old t-shirts.  She made this hat out of one of Rick's old U of O shirts.

February 10 - Double-forkin' It!

So today we ate chicken parm. It was very good and as I got more noodles I noticed that I was holding two forks. So I just ate from one fork to the other. :)

February 8 - Bonanza Beats Lost River!

Last game of a successful season, we played our rival school.  They were cocky, but in all honesty being the topped rank team in the state meant that they could be. We won the game 62 to 58. Adele, our foreign exchange student this year, is a baller!! She scored 30 points during our game.  I had 15 points and 18 rebounds. This season was full of ups and downs but we had an amazing last game of the season. I love Adele.  Watching her play was a lot of fun, and being on the court with her was a great learning experience! That night when we got home I was on the news! It was an amazing night! :)         ~Faith

February 6 - Boundary Issues

The girls and the dogs all have some serious boundary issues.  They bounce in and out of each others beds and our bed.  Lucy tries to be sneaky.  Hope even plays 'possum.  But I am on to them!
